Berthe Morisot
Berthe Morisot exhibited in seven of the eight Impressionist shows — more than Monet. The old Hub’s Impressionism room was a room of men; she belongs on the door.
Her touch is among the fastest in the group: veils of pale color, domestic balconies, harbors, a sister, a child. Speed here is not haste. It is attention before the light changes.
