Hannah Höch
Höch is the scalpel of Berlin Dada. Photomontage, for her, is how a woman cuts a new body out of illustrated magazines and generals.
Cut with the Kitchen Knife (1919–20) is a map of the Weimar Republic as a fever. It belongs beside Fountain as a definition of what Dada could do.
